Ahmed Kamel In line with his new position, Kamel will oversee the front office, housekeeping, recreation teams as well as supporting government relations. Kamel has more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has worked at operators such as Shangri-La and Le Royal Meridien. He has spent eight years with InterContinental Hotels Group, and has been with the InterContinental Doha The City since March 2015.He has also been awarded the Ambassador Excellence Award in the AMEA region in 2015 and currently holds the office of president of the Qatar chapter of Amicale Internationale des Chefs de Réception et Sous Directeurs des Grand Hôtels [International Association for Front Office Managers and Assistant Hotel Managers (AICR)].
