Noni Hughes has been appointed General Manager at Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group, LLC
The recently-transformed Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland (Ore.), appointed Noni Hughes as its new GM. Hughes comes to Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland from Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Wash., where she most recently served as assistant GM for six years. With a successful track record in both hotel management and sales, Hughes will oversee the hotel’s operations, while delivering financial results, growing market share and cultivating workplace culture. Hotel Vintage Portland underwent a $16-million renovation in 2015 and has maintained consistent rankings as a top Oregon hotel, which along with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants’ industry reputation, helped draw her toward this position. Hughes grew up on Maui, Hawaii, and fell naturally into the hospitality industry. Her mom worked for a vacation rental firm, where Hughes would spend weekends as a child, moving eventually to a front desk position and then transitioning to property management. In her free time, Hughes enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her family, as well as reading and cooking – the latter of which include a nice glass of wine.
