Tane PickenHailing from South Africa, Tane has been in the hospitality industry for 16 years and garnered valuable hotel management experience in almost 10 countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, China, Singapore and the Middle East. Prior to this, Tane was the hotel manager at Golden Sands Resort, Penang by Shangri-La, assisting the general manager in managing the daily operations and developing key strategies for the family resort. He has also held various senior management positions, such as in sales and marketing, including as cluster director of business development, for a five-star hospitality establishment and various operational divisions at international hotels worldwide.Set to be completed by August 2017, the programme encompasses the entire Hotel Jen Penang in three phases: all 443 guestrooms and suites; public spaces, including the lobby, the popular Club Lounge and the corridors; and re-design of the lobby and reception desk, along with Hotel Jen’s signature On-The-Go lobby coffee shop. The hotel remains fully operational during the enhancement process.
