With an accolade-filled career spanning two decades – much of it at Trump Central Park – Ms. Mills will be now responsible for the high-level operations, performance, and strategic direction of both hotels, and also the day-to-day operations of Trump SoHo.A New York City hospitality veteran, Suzie Mills has been at the helm of the award-winning Trump Central Park for nearly a decade. She was born into a career in hospitality with her first job at the young age of ten, working for her parents’ Hotel in Wales, United Kingdom. She eventually landed a position at the iconic Savoy Hotel in London where she spent five years gaining valuable experience working both front of house and in banquet sales. Ms. Mills came to the United States to work at The Mayfair Hotel on Park Avenue, before joining the Trump Hotel team in 1997 during the hotel’s pre-opening phase. She began as Front Office Manager, before quickly moving up the ranks to Rooms Divisions manager, Assistant General Manager, and then to General Manager. Ms. Mills has ably steered Trump Central Park through multiple renovations, including a massive $30 million renovation in 2010, followed by a complete renovation of the onsite Trump Spa in 2012. A leader in the industry, Ms. Mills has the distinguished honor of being the first female general manager for a five-star hotel in New York City, and overseeing the only hotel in North America with the coveted Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond accolades for both hotel and restaurant. Her passion and dedication to the industry has been recognized by her colleagues and peers with the Silver Plume Award for ‘Best Supporting Manager of the Year’ by the Hotel Excellence Awards program in 2009 and 2016. Outside of her work at Trump Hotels, Mills serves on the Board for Forbes Women and Forbes Travel Guide Service Committee, as well as the hotel community BID for Lincoln Square. Her dedication to her career has been highly recognized, and in 2009, Mills was voted to Crain’s “40 under 40”.
