Kate Nawracaj named Director of Group Sales at Preferred Hotels & Resorts
Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest global provider of sales, marketing and distribution services to independent luxury hotels, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Nawracaj as Director of Group Sales, covering Midwest Corporations and Associations. Based in Chicago, Ms. Nawracaj brings more than 20 years of experience to her new role, and is responsible for connecting industry planners in the region with the brand’s member hotels and resorts globally. Prior to joining Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Ms. Nawracaj spent 17 years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, most recently serving as Account Director for Global Group Sales, representing more than 1,400 hotels and resorts across 11 distinct brands in nearly 100 countries. During her tenure with Starwood, she held additional sales positions with properties such as Sheraton Grand Chicago, Westin River North, and St. Regis Monarch Beach. In these roles, she was consistently recognized as a top sales producer, exceeding year-over-year sales goals while acting as a member of industry associations such as the Professional Conference Management Association and the Financial and Insurance Conference Planners Organization. Ms. Nawracaj holds a B.S. in Hotel Management from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania.
