Sohaib Kidwai has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Chennai
Hyatt Regency Chennai has welcomed a new member into its family. Mr. Sohaib Kidwai has joined as the new Director of Sales and Marketing. A result oriented professional with over 11 years’ experience in the areas of sales, business development, strategic planning and team management, Sohaib brings with him a sound understanding and a wealth of expertise in the sales and marketing function. His passion for the hospitality industry has seen him rapidly rise through several positions within the company, with responsibilities spread across a gamut of functions. Sohaib possesses an intuitive understanding of brand management and with his outstanding communication and leadership skills, he is able to effectively manage relationships with clients and stakeholders and lead cross-cultural teams. At Hyatt Regency Chennai, Sohaib’s Core responsibilities will include maximizing hotels revenues through result oriented sales and marketing strategies, exploring business opportunities through events. Sohaib has previously worked with various Five star and luxury properties like Goa Marriott, Renaissance Mumbai, Grand Hyatt Mumbai, Park Hyatt Chennai to name a few. Prior to joining Hyatt Regency Chennai, he was associated with Hyatt Pune as the as Director of Sales and Marketing. Sohaib has a MBA in Marketing Management from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning and a B.A. in Hotel Management from the University of Huddersfield, U.K. He also holds a diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad. A self proclaimed workaholic who loves to spend time with his family. Sohaib also loves to travel and explore new destinations.
