Alistair AndersonSix Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has appointed Alistair Anderson as general manager of Six Senses Krabey Island. The resort, scheduled to open in 2018, is located on a private island and is comprised of 40 pool villas set on a 30-acre site and is served by watercraft transfers from a mainland reception facility. Alistair brings more than 25 years of experience to his new role, having worked with international and independent hotel groups. These include Rooms and GM assignments with Hyatt International in Sydney and Canberra, Aman Resorts in London, Bali and Australia plus the Merrivale Group in Sydney. He also includes the Commonwealth Club in Canberra and Sir Stamford at Circular Quay in Sydney in his career highlights. Alistair also spent time as a lecturer at William Blue International Hotel School, Sydney. Alistair joins Six Senses Krabey Island from his previous role as operations manager at Two Wolves Community Cantina, a social enterprise of The Cardoner Project, Sydney. An Australian, Alistair is a keen participant in the sport of road cycling and swimming. He is deeply interested in all things related to food and beverages, as he believes sharing great meals can be some of life's most memorable moments. He also has a dream to one day master snow skiing and surfing. Alistair will be accompanied by his wife, Anna on his newest adventure.
