Tom Rutherford has been appointed General Manager at The Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa
George Cohen, Managing Director of The Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa is excited to announce the appointment of Tom Rutherford as the new General Manager from 1 June 2017. Rutherford joins with a wealth of hospitality experience beginning with a seven-year stint at the Cape Grace Hotel where he gained a strong background in both guest relations and food and beverage management. He then joined Singita for another seven- year stint managing various lodges within the group and spent the last two years as General Manager of the Sabi Sand properties - Boulders, Ebony and Castleton. Rutherford returns home to Johannesburg bringing his extensive experience which will be of strategic importance to the Saxon.Rutherford will be joining the dynamic Saxon team at a time of great success and growth for the hotel and the brand. Supported by the passionate team and guided by Managing Director George Cohen, Rutherford will ensure that this period of growth continues and that The Saxon remains at the forefront of the hospitality industry in South Africa and beyond.
