Former HR manager at Hyatt Regency, Pune, Gupta is a proficient when it comes to managing professionals of the hospitality sector with a sturdy hand in improving talent and bringing out excellence. Gupta completed her graduation in 2006, with a degree in commerce from Kurukshetra University. Having been always a people’s person, she enrolled herself for an MBA degree in Human Resources and Marketing in 2009. Within a brief span of time, Ekta has made quite a name for herself as an up comer in the hospitality sector. With a deft hand in performance management, recruitment, selection, training and development, she has been known for bringing out the best in an employee. As Human Resources Coordinator at Intercontinental Eros, New Delhi, she found a chance to expand her social skills with new responsibilities such as recruitee orientation, personnel coordination and organizing employee engagement activities. Her proclivity towards the hospitality sector exposed her to the interaction with various indigenous and international culinary experts and reputed managerial leaders of the sector. Being in close proximity to a diverse professional body within a multi cultural and multinational work environment equipped her with the right knowledge of general human behaviour and the skill to minimize frictions between different personalities. Becoming a part of Pune’s prestigious JW Marriott Hotel in January 2012 as an HR Executive was just the beginning of Gupta’s steady rise in growth chart. At one of India’s most coveted hospitality group, the Hyatt Regency, Pune, she received a chance to expand and showcase her operational efficiency and leadership skills, working under the direct mentorship of the Director of Human Resource. Each successive hotel that Gupta has worked for have presented her with a myriad of opportunities to explore and a chance to grow in terms of performance, responsibility and customer relations.
