David ScullyDavid has over 25 years of experience in the hotel industry, with vast international experience in countries across Central and Southeast Asia. He possesses years of senior management and hotel pre-opening experience for numerous 4 and 5-star hotels and resorts of luxury nature. Having had a humbling start in the hospitality industry, David started his career as a busboy in The Golden Sands Resort, Penang. Thereon, he also transferred to Shangri-la Hangzhou, China and later to Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, where he was appointed as Director of Food and Beverage. David’s passion and determination have brought him to different countries, from Hong Kong, Nairobi to Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, taking up roles as the General Manager and Pre-Opening General Manager. He was the Cluster General Manager of Samaxi Palace and Naftalan Hotel, Azerbaijan for a year before returning to his motherland, Malaysia. His experiences abroad have shaped him into who he is today, which is a great addition to Four Points by Sheraton Penang. During his free time, David enjoys carpentry, fishing and golfing. Cooking has always been his passion and he keeps abreast with new methods and concepts which help him relax and keeps the soul vibrant.
