Franck DesplechinEnchantment Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Franck Desplechin as Executive Chef. Desplechin will drive the creative culinary direction of Che Ah Chi, the resort’s signature modern American restaurant, in addition to the resort’s four other dining concepts, in-room dining and banquet operations. Set on 70 acres of panoramic natural terrain in spectacular Boynton Canyon, Enchantment Resort is known for its fresh, locally sourced ingredients – imaginative, sophisticated menus – award-winning wine lists and views destined to take your breath away. Desplechin’s impressive career includes distinguished culinary posts at five-star hotels and restaurants throughout the country, as well as abroad. His seasoned culinary flair is balanced by a passion for local and sustainable ingredients. At Enchantment Resort, Desplechin will oversee Che Ah Chi, Tii Gavo and View 180, tapping into the abundance of Arizona’s seasonal produce and the destination’s commitment to develop authentic, regionally inspired menus for the property’s standout restaurants. Additionally, Desplechin will lead the culinary programs at the world-renowned Mii amo destination spa and Seven Canyons Golf Club. Prior to joining Enchantment Resort, Desplechin most recently served as the executive chef at the St. Regis San Francisco, overseeing the entire culinary operation for the 260-room luxury hotel and 100 residences. Prior to the St. Regis San Francisco, he served as executive chef at the St. Regis Princeville in Kauai, Hawaii, where he led a talented staff of over 65 culinary professionals across six venues. Prior to the St. Regis Princeville, he held the positions of pastry chef and executive sous chef at the St. Regis Bora Bora and Spa in French Polynesia. When not at work in the kitchen, Desplechin loves traveling, motorcycle riding, cinema and has a passion for photography.
