John FarrellyAl Habtoor City Hotel Collection has welcomed John Farrelly onboard as multi-property director of sales and marketing for St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City. Boasting extensive and extremely valuable experience, he first joined the Marriott family in 1999 in the UK and worked through various on-property sales leadership roles before being promoted to cluster director of sales and marketing for nine hotels in Northern England in 2003. Farrelly then moved to Dubai in 2011 to join the pre-opening team of the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai as director of marketing, and played a crucial role in launching the property.In October 2015, he assumed the position of country director of sales and marketing – UAE, and during his tenure, he oversaw 15 hotels including five pre-openings, as well as the management of the UAE Market Organisation, which includes shared services provided to cluster properties for sales, marketing, PR and e-commerce. In his newly assumed position, Farrelly will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of sales and marketing across Dubai’s inaugural St. Regis hotel, a flagship W Hotel and a Westin.
