Dallas-based Prism Hotels and Resorts announced today that it has promoted Ghee Alexander to Vice President of Operations - Southwest. Prism Hotels and Resorts’ President and CEO Steve Van made the announcement. As a seasoned hospitality professional with more than 24 years of experience, Alexander joined the Prism team six years ago as general manager at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Memphis Downtown. In his role, he repositioned the property for success and has been on a fast track within Prism due to his ability to deliver results. He is currently serving as the general manager at the company’s Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort, where he has led the property through a lengthy and extensive renovation and repositioning. In his new role, he will continue to lead his team as general manager at the resort, as well as oversee the upcoming development aspects of Prism’s newest assets in the Southwest region. Alexander has been recognized with many honors including Tennessee Hotel and Lodging Association GM of the Year for Large Hotel in 2014, Prism GM of the Year in 2013 and 2014 and the Pr ism President’s Award in 2015. Alexander began his career as a banquet waiter and has served as a general manager for the past 16 years. He began his career with Taj Hotels and Resorts in Mumbai, India. Jeff Miller - corporate regional director of sales
22 August 2018 — A 13-year hospitality professional, Miller will serve as corporate regional director of sales and work closely with the property-based director of sales to grow revenues and improve market share. He will act as a liaison between the Prism corporate office and his assigned hotel properties and will be responsible for planning direct sales strategies for new and existing properties.

22 August 2018 — Alexander is a hospitality industry veteran with 25 years of experience in a variety of roles. His first general manger position came at age 26 when he spent six years at Lodgian, Inc. Alexander joined Prism 7 years ago as general manager of Doubletree by Hilton Memphis Downtown before serving as general manager of El Conquistador Tucson, a Hilton Resort, leading the property through a lengthy and extensive renovation and repositioning.
