David NadelmanIndustry veteran, David Nadelman has been appointed Area Vice President and General Manager of Hyatt Regency Orange County. In this role, Nadelman is responsible for managing all operations for the 653-room hotel, while also overseeing the operations of six additional Hyatt properties in the Southern California region. A 37-year veteran with Hyatt, Nadelman began his career at the Grand Hyatt New York as a trainee in the corporate management program where he worked in all departments of the hotel. Throughout his Hyatt career, Nadelman has held various positions at 18 hotels, including senior level positions in the Rooms and Food & Beverage departments and General Manager at six Regency and Grand Hyatt hotels across the United States. From 2007 – 2013, Nadelman served as General Manager at Grand Hyatt San Francisco where he completed a $70 million renovation of the entire hotel and repositioned the hotel as one of Hyatt’s flagship properties. Most recently, Nadelman was Area Vice President and General Manager at Hyatt Regency Waikiki where he successfully completed $105 million in renovations, maintained a 90% occupancy year-round and increased gross sales by nearly 15% for the 1,230 room hotel. Nadelman was nominated three times for General Manager of the Year and in 2011 was awarded General Manager of the Year for Hyatt Hotel Corporation large hotel category. From 2013 – 2017, Nadelman sat on the Board of the Waikiki Business Improvement District and the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association. During his time in San Francisco, from 2012 – 2013, Nadelman served as the Chairman of the Board for San Francisco Travel Association. He also served as Board President of Union Square Business Improvement District, First Vice President Hotel Council of San Francisco and Board Member of Uptown Parking Corporation. Nadelman graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business with a concentration in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Fairleigh Dickinson College in Rutherford, New York. In his spare time, Nadelman enjoys spending time with family, hiking, scuba diving and all things watersports.
