Cheyne Manalo has been appointed Assistant vice president of information technology at Aqua-Aston Hospitality
Cheyne Manalo has been named assistant vice president of information technology (IT) for Aqua-Aston Hospitality. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Aqua-Aston Hospitality is a leading hotel and resort condo management group. As assistant vice president, Manalo is responsible for overseeing implementation of the IT strategy for the company. In this role, he manages senior staff in the delivery of IT services, including application services, telecommunications, desktop technology, and help desk services. Manalo is also responsible for directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of all application systems for the company. Manalo reports to Gene Pence, senior vice president of application systems. Pence said, “Cheyne brings a track record of project leadership and technical excellence to our organization. We are very pleased to have him on our team." Prior to joining the company, Manalo spent five years as senior director of IT at Foodland Supermarket, Ltd., where he was responsible for the technical direction of the company’s websites and mobile apps, and led the IT department, including its Service Desk, Server/Network, and Enterprise Applications teams. Previously, he worked as IT program manager for Hawaiian Electric for four years.
