Bruce Valade

Olshan Properties, one of the country"s leading private owners, developers and operators of commercial real estate, today announced the appointment of Bruce Valade as Corporate Director of Revenue Management and Sales, reporting to Olshan"s Head of Hospitality, Ernie Catanzaro.

In this newly created role, Mr. Valade, who will be based in Columbus, OH, will be responsible for working with hotels to optimize revenue potentials, introduce sales and revenue best practices, and ensure hotels are utilizing brand equity.

In addition, Bruce will assist in contributing to the advancement of Olshan"s strategic hotel expansion plan which includes the development of multiple new ground up hotels to add to its national portfolio of six Hilton, Sheraton and Marriott-flagged properties. Headlining this expansion is the company"s joint venture, announced in August 2017, to develop a mixed-use hotel and retail property in Boston"s historic Haymarket district.

As Olshan seeks to broaden its hospitality holdings the company has also been thoughtfully adding to its deep bench of executive talent. Mr. Valade is already the second new executive that has been added to Olshan"s expanding hotel team. In mid-November Erik DeBeukelaer was brought in as Director of Finance with responsibility for the hotel portfolio.

Like the many talented peers that he joins at Olshan Properties, Bruce Valade brings with him top rate skills developed over a storied career in the hospitality industry. Most recently, Mr. Valade served as Regional Director of Revenue Management at TPG Hotels & Resorts where he was responsible for designing and implementing group strategies, tactics, forecasting, and budgeting across 16 hotels with revenues of approximately $200 million. During his tenure at TPG, Mr. Valade also focused on collaboration with third party ownership groups, and directed the close coordination of an internal revenue team.

Mr. Valade began his hospitality career with Marriott where he spent 17 years. Beginning with the company as Assistant General Manager of a Fairfield Inn in 1990, Mr. Valade ascended in the ranks to Area General Manager, Market Director of Revenue Management, ultimately rising to the position of Director of Market Strategy.

Mr. Valade earned a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University, a masters of business administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio, and, a certification from Cornell University"s prestigious Hotel Real Estate and Asset Management program.
