Pankaj K Chaudhary has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing, at JW Marriott Chandigarh
With an experience of over seventeen years in the hospitality sector, Pankaj K Chaudhary has joined JW Marriott Chandigarh as its Director of Sales and Marketing. Having gained a rich experience in sales & marketing from working with various leading properties across India in both metro and non-metro markets, Pankaj was working as the Director of Sales at Courtyard by Marriott, Agra prior to joining JW Marriott Chandigarh.
Pankaj has had a long association with Marriott having overseen various roles across different Marriott properties across India over the years. In fact, it was with Marriott Welcom Hotel where he began his career as an Operations trainee in 2001 after obtaining a three-year Diploma in Hotel Management from Institute Of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Jaipur.
His career advanced rapidly over the years to include roles like Assistant Manager Sales at Sarovar Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd, Sales Centre Manager at Courtyard by Marriott, Gurgaon, Associate Head of Sales –The Leela Ambience, Gurgaon and finally Director of Sales at Courtyard by Marriott, Agra.
In between, from 2006 – 2008, he did Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Symbiosis Centre of Distance Learning Pune to enhance his skill set.
Over the years, Pankaj has proved his mettle in hotel sales & marketing having played key role in clinching business, establishing lead over competition, maintaining concerned stakeholder relations, formulating successful sales and marketing strategies and driving and motivating team members. This has helped establish a wining environment wherever he has worked and helped those properties achieve maximum profits.
As the Director of Sales and Marketing at JW Marriott Chandigarh, Pankaj will work to maximize hotel revenues across market segments and property offerings. He will be responsible for creating and overseeing the hotel's yearly business and marketing plans as well as managing the sales and marketing team. He shall play an integral role in working with the hotel personnel to develop new opportunities and attract new business.
