Concord Hospitality is pleased to announce that Mark Laport was awarded the inaugural Brooks Pierce CEO of the Year Award ($500-700M Category) at the North Carolina CEO Summit held in Pinehurst, N.C. Nominees were chosen based on acquisitions, capital funding, employee growth and retention.

Since founding the company in 1985, Laport has driven consistent and thoughtful growth. As one of the state's largest hotel operators, Concord's portfolio includes more than 16 brand affiliations in 20 states and two Canadian provinces, and its 4,000+ associates contribute to an annual revenue of more than $500 million.

Under Laport's leadership, Concord has been recognized by Fortune as one of the country's 100 Best Companies to Work For®, as well as a Great Place to Work® for Women and Millennials for the past two years. He has been recognized for his contributions to the hospitality industry, both individually and on behalf of Concord, with honors like the Marriott Partnership Circle Award, Hyatt Developer of the Year Award and Michigan State University's School of Hospitality Business Leader of the Year.

Nationally, he has held key roles including Chairman of the Courtyard by Marriott Franchise Advisory Council, and is currently a member of the Renaissance Franchise Advisory Committee, Canopy Owner Advisory Council and AC Hotel Brand Advisory Council.
