Daniel Ben-Efraim

Edward Thomas Collection of Hotels (ETC), the independent owners and operators of Southern California's two most distinguished coastal hotels, Shutters on the Beach and Hotel Casa del Mar, has appointed Daniel Ben-Efraim Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Ben-Efraim will lead all aspects of sales and marketing initiatives for Santa Monica's most iconic seaside hotels, including food and beverage programming. This addition to ETC marks an exciting time as Shutters on the Beach nears its 25th birthday in June and Hotel Casa del Mar welcomes guests to newly renovated rooms and suites this month.

Ben-Efraim brings more than 15 years of brand development, marketing, sales, operations and entertainment experience to ETC. He adds refined business intelligence and strategy to an accomplished management and sales team to help uphold the acclaimed status and trend-setting legacy of Shutters on the Beach and Hotel Casa del Mar. His blend of luxury hospitality and entertainment experience make him perfectly suited for overseeing the beachfront hotels, which are sanctuaries for jetsetters, celebrities and stylish locals.

Most recently, Ben-Efraim served as the director of marketing at Loews Regency New York, where he earned "Best Turn Around Hotel" and "Hotel of the Year" from Loews Hotels & Co. He previously served as the director of sales and marketing at The London New York City. As Entertainment Travel Manager at Paramount Pictures, he developed a studio travel sourcing and service strategy, and, prior to that, he was director of business development for A&R Worldwide/MUSEXPO in Beverly Hills, where he evaluated partnership opportunities and managed contracts and negotiations for domestic and international event sponsorships. He beganhis career in hospitality at the Hyatt West Hollywood, where he became a member of the Hyatt Hotels Sales Team of the year and received the outstanding achievement award from Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.

A California native, Ben-Efraim graduated from Santa Monica College. He is a member of the British American Business Council, and supporter of GLAAD and GBTA.
