Kimberly Newbury

Phocuswright, the most credible and quoted source for research, events and news in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry, today announced the appointment of Kimberly Newbury, as Vice President, Sales.

She will be instrumental in the advancement and commercialization of our products across all applications where she will be able to leverage our team's experience."

Ms. Newbury's role with Phocuswright is to develop creative integrated media programs catering to strategic client needs. She and her team work with clients to leverage the full suite of Phocuswright products and services to achieve strong results through innovative implementation. She began her career in tourism after being inspired by the fall of the Berlin wall and the opportunities that new freedom created in Europe. For several years, she lived and worked in Prague; then London on business-to-business projects in tourism connecting people via conferences, trade shows and new media.

Most recently, her tenure at Questex in the U.S. included managing a team of sales people to develop robust e-learning solutions for the retail travel agency market. She has also been heavily involved in the luxury travel market through her work with Luxury Travel Advisor Magazine and the OTA FiveStarAlliance.com. Ms. Newbury is currently based in Chicago, holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and enjoys adventures large and small with her husband and two sons.
