Larry Mogelonsky

Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Larry Mogelonsky as its Canadian Ambassador. The announcement was made at SLH's annual Canadian Showcase event held on Apirl 10, 2018 at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto.

In making the announcement, Filip Boyen, Chief Executive Officer of SLH, noted, "Canada is our third largest guest-originating market, yet we are critically underrepresented here with only one property. Our goal is to raise the profile of SLH within the Canadian hotel community and, in the process, increase our membership as well as open the world to a diverse collection of incredible Canadian travel experiences."

Larry Mogelonsky worked in the hospitality industry over 35 years, primarily in a marketing and consulting capacity for luxury independent properties. An industry pundit, he has written four books on hotel operations and he is published weekly in several leading hospitality journals. Often appearing as a keynote speaker at international travel conferences, Larry has been recognized by the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) as one of the 25 Top Minds in Hospitality.

Mr. Boyen added, "I am confident that the addition of Larry Mogelonsky to our team will help us to meet the needs of Canadian hoteliers, so they can grow their businesses in today's global market. I am particularly impressed with Larry's knowledge outside of his immediate industry experience, both through his career in advertising and marketing as well as through his worldwide travels where he visits and audits 40 or more properties each year."

Larry Mogelonsky will spearhead SLH's reinvigorated push into Canada from his Toronto offices and he can be reached at [email protected]
