Gerhard Bosse

Gerhard Bosse has taken over leadership from Henning Reichel, who had been running the five star superior hotel in Jochberg close to Kitzbuehel since its opening in 2012. For the experienced hotelier it is not only a change of scenery, but also a change of climate in the truest sense of the word. As a General Manager, Bosse has led the Kempinski Hotel Suzhou in China for the last five years, and prior to that he was working as a hotel manager in the Kempinski hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, the golf resort in Belek, Turkey, and the Grand Hotel Europe in St. Petersburg.

He has been part of the Kempinski family for 24 years now, and of his latest place of residence, he says "it feels like coming home because, ever since my childhood, I have always felt very connected to the mountains." As a youngster, his summers were spent in the Allgäu Alps while many winters were spent skiing in the Ötztal Valley. Now he can put on his skis or hiking boots right on the doorstep, as the Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol is the only luxury five star superior hotel in the region where the trails start right at the hotel and where you can stop off directly in winter without departing from the slopes.
