Rebecca Bosshard

Rebecca Bossard Gruyer has been appointed to the new position of Director of Sales, North America for the Bürgenstock Selection which encompasses the new Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort Lake Lucerne, the Royal Savoy Hotel & Spa in Lausanne and the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & THE SPA. Reporting to Bettina Haeberle, Area Director of Sales & Marketing, she will be based in the New York office of The Leading Hotels of the World.

Rebecca will focus her efforts on the Bürgenstock Resort, Switzerland's newest luxury resort, which has 383 rooms in four hotels (the five-star superior Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa, the five-star Waldhotel Health & Medical Excellence, the four-star superior Palace Hotel & Conferences and the three-star Taverne 1879), a state-of-the-art medical center, 67 residences (57 apartments and 10 villas), eight restaurants, lounges and bars, a 107,000 square-foot spa and wellness center, meeting space for 900 people, a nine-hole golf course and three championship tennis courts.

Rebecca brings solid experience in the luxury market having recently spent more than four years at Relais & Chateaux driving sales for the luxury network's 450 properties worldwide. Her responsibilities included managing relationships and growing leisure travel business from the leading agencies in the northeastern region of the U.S. and eastern Canada. She also assisted the sales director in liaising with the primary luxury travel organizations including American Express Travel's Fine Hotels & Resorts, Ensemble Travel Group, Signature Travel Network and Virtuoso.

Previously, Rebecca was a manager at Go West Tours, a leading receptive tour operator and destination management company based in San Francisco. In only three years, she graduated from a product coordinator to FIT Contracting Manager generating a 50 percent increase in FIT contracts from the East Coast.

Before moving to the U.S. in 2009, she held trainee positions at the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Reethi Beach Resort in the Maldives and Dnata Switzerland AG, an aviation handling service at Geneva Airport.

Rebecca attended HEI - School of Management & Tourism in Sierre in Switzerland and also studied at Gotland University in Sweden. A Swiss national, she speaks English, French, German and some Italian.
