Belmond announces the appointment of Adam Handling as Executive Chef of Belmond Cadogan Hotel, its new London facility, scheduled to open in the winter of 2018. Considered overseas as one of "30 personalities under the age of 30 years among the most influential ", Adam Handling upsets the codes of traditional British cuisine that he particularly likes, and brings him a resolutely modern touch, which places sustainability and zero waste at the heart of his philosophy. Born in Scotland, Adam Handling began his career in Gleneagles as a senior clerk. From then on, he was quickly recognized as one of the rising stars of the culinary scene thanks to his exceptional cuisine that combines bold flavors and culinary techniques out of the ordinary, creating balanced and harmonious dishes designed to leave an impression.
Named Scottish Chef of the Year in 2015, Adam opened his first independent restaurant, The Frog E1, in Shoreditch in June 2016, before launching his flagship Frog by Adam Handling in Covent Garden in September 2017. Both honored With prizes including the Best Restaurant of the Year award at the Food & Travel Reader Awards 2017 and the Best Food Restaurant Award at the Foodism100 Awards 2018, Adam will continue to operate the Adam Handling Restaurant Group with his team.
