Guido Farina

The RuMa Hotel & Residences is excited to announce the appointment of Guido Farina as General Manager. Originally from Caravaggio, Italy, a small town east of Milan, Farina has travelled the world working for a variety of five-star luxury hotels and resorts; now, he joins The RuMa from his latest assignment in Mauritius with almost three decades of experience that spans five continents.

Since landing his first job at Da Vittorio, a three-star Michelin restaurant close to his hometown, Guido Farina has been motivated by a desire to be at the service of people. Today, this energetic hotelier tends to approach life on the simpler side, maintaining a genuine and career-long mission to reinforce team and guest satisfaction and reinvent new ways to produce immediate impact.

As General Manager, Farina's role will largely consist of overseeing the daily operations of the 253-room hotel, in addition to serving as an ambassador of The RuMa's culture of hostmanship. Farina will welcome each member of staff and every guest to an experience that goes well beyond conventional luxury to embrace authenticity, local identity and human intuition.

With a contagious passion for hospitality, Farina looks forward to creating something truly special in Kuala Lumpur, where he has fallen in love with the city's multicultural roots and its harmonious diversities. He believes The RuMa will be able to reflect this same quality by being a place where people from around the world can come together in respect and in the comfort of home.
