Eveline Noort

Eveline Noort has become the second hotelier in succession from the Netherlands to be appointed as general manager at Raymond Blanc's Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire.

She will replace Jan-Paul Kroese, who stepped down last month after two and a half years in the role to look after his 88-year-old father back in his home country.

Noort, who will take up her new position at the five-red-AA-star, 32-bedroom hotel early in September, will work closely with Blanc and hotel manager Sandra Mueller who has been acting as interim general manager since Kroese's departure.

A graduate of business and hotel management from Hotelschool the Hauge, Noort's most recent role has been as hotel general manager for nearly two years at Le Meridien Piccadilly London, which she left in March.

She started her hospitality career in 2008 with an internship at Amsterdam's Hotel Pulitzer and then undertook the Vita Futura graduate management programme with Starwood Hotels & Resorts at the Sheraton Stockholm.

In Stockholm, Noort worked her way up from front office manager to rooms division manager, before taking on her first hotel manager role at the Aloft Brussels Schuman in 2014. She moved to London after two years in Brussels.

On confirming Noort's appointment, Blanc said he was very much looking forward to working with his new general manager. "Eveline has a strong sense of passion which I know will mirror our dedication to deliver excellence throughout every aspect of Belmond Le Manoir - I, along with my team, am very excited to welcome her on what I am sure will be a fantastic journey."

Founded by Blanc in 1984, Belmond Le Manoir was voted as the favourite property of UK hoteliers in the Hoteliers' Hotels Top 100 list 2017 in July.
