Jackie D. Johnson, Jr.

BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has appointed Jackie D. Johnson, Jr., director of facilities for Turtle Bay Resort. The Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property is located on Oahu's legendary North Shore. Jerry Gibson, Benchmark's vice president and managing director for the resort, made the announcement.

Jack Johnson was previously chief engineer for General Growth Properties of Honolulu, directing and managing the daily activities of mechanic and engineering staff and maintenance crews for the Ala Moana Center of Honolulu, the world's largest open-air shopping mall. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Johnson was senior operations & training program manager for the United States Navy, a position that capped his 30-year military career, during which he achieved the distinguished rank of Command Master Chief Petty Officer.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree in Workforce Education & Curriculum Development. He achieved numerous leadership, development and training honors and designations during his three-decade career with the U.S. Navy, including the Meritorious Service Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps. Commendation Medal (2 Awards), the Navy & Marine Corps. Achievement Medal (4 Awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (8 awards), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and National Defense Medal (2 awards). Mr. Johnson resides at Manoa Valley, Honolulu, Hawaii.
