Koji Sasaki

The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa is pleased to announce that Mr. Koji Sasaki has been appointed as the hotel's new General Manager as of October 1, 2017. Mr. Sasaki had been working as a Hotel Manager since the hotel's opening in May 2012.

After beginning his career in 1991 at the Nankai South Tower Hotel Osaka (now the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka), Mr. Sasaki joined The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka when it opened in 1997. He also worked as the Operations Manager at the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts Tokyo Restaurant from 2007, and was appointed Hotel Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa in 2011. Ever since the hotel opened its doors in May 2012, Mr. Sasaki has demonstrated leadership and effective, efficient management in all aspects of the hotel's operations.

Mr. Sasaki also has considerable experience in human resource development, having undertaken training roles at newly-opened The Ritz-Carlton hotels in Tianjin (China), Kyoto (Japan), Bali (Indonesia) and Macao (special administrative region of China) during his term as Hotel Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa.

Mr. Sasaki had the following to say about his new appointment: "The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa was the first resort opened by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Japan, and I feel especially attached to it, having worked here since before the hotel opened to the public. I am delighted to have been granted this opportunity to become the hotel's General Manager. I will be working hard to achieve even higher levels of hospitality, delivering our guests the kind of resort experience that only Okinawa can offer and building an enduring love for our hotel."

With his 26-year career in the hospitality industry and extensive knowledge and experience of luxury brands at The Ritz-Carlton and the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, General Manager Sasaki is a great asset to The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa, which celebrated its fifth anniversary in May this year. The hotel will continue to provide guests with memorable experiences and uphold the traditions of which The Ritz-Carlton is so proud, while striving to further enhance service quality and brand value into the future.
