Peter Nilsson has been appointed Managing Director at Laucala Island
Laucala Island, the luxurious private island located in the Fijian Pacific archipelago, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Nilsson as Managing Director.
Peter is a seasoned Swedish hospitality executive with 25 years of experience in leadership roles at luxury hotels and resorts in Asia, Indian Ocean, western and eastern Europe and on-board ocean-going cruise ships.
He joins Laucala from the Ritz-Carlton hotel company in Malaysia and has held positions of General Manager, Group General Manager and Managing Director at leading international hospitality chains such as Soneva's prestigious Six Senses Group, Hilton Worldwide under the Conrad brand, Centara Hotels & Resorts flagship resort in Hua Hin, Thailand and Anantara Hotels and Resorts.
Throughout his career, he has received various prestigious awards and recognition for his contributions and achievements.
Peter describes himself as an 'island aficionado' and has lived and worked in and around some of the most beautiful beach destinations and resorts of the world. In his spare time he enjoys travelling extensively discovering new cultures, photography, scuba diving, marine biology and alpine skiing.
