John D. WilliamsRecently appointed General Manager John D. Williams is leading the Hotel Northland, Autograph Collection®, Green Bay, Wisconsin, toward its late fall grand reopening. An industry veteran, Williams is responsible for overseeing the historic renovation and rebranding of the landmark property, as well as launching all operations. Williams brings more than 40 years of hospitality experience in hotel operations and management to the leadership position. Throughout his career, he has managed several 4-Star and 4-Diamond properties. Among them, the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he managed the day-to-day operations of the 360-room property. Williams also served as general manager of the 307-room, 4-Diamond Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, named by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the "World's Best Places to Stay." While there, he led the introduction of Blu, the hotel's specialty theme nightclub on the hotel's 23rd floor, making it a destination lounge within the city. Williams also directed operations and business functions for The Skirvin Hotel, a 225-room, 4-Diamond property in Oklahoma City that had been closed and abandoned for 19 years before undergoing a $56 million renovation. Williams oversaw the restoration and reinvention of the hotel, helping it reopen and regain its prominence in downtown Oklahoma City. Most recently, Williams oversaw the successful $10 million renovation project for The Renaissance Waterford, a 196-room, 4-Star, 4-Diamond hotel in Oklahoma City. Williams is a Certified Hotel Administrator®.
