Miguel Ortiz

Chef Ortiz joins Hotel Granduca Austin with nearly 20 years of hospitality and culinary experience. His most recent position was as Executive Sous Chef at the Escondido Golf & Lake Club in Horseshoe Bay, TX. He has held Chef and Executive Chef positions, and received multiple industry awards and accolades, at a number of US properties, including: Marriott Denver Tech Center, The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in San Antonio, TX (where he was also the personal Chef for all the talent and high profile entertainment artists), Marriott Horseshoe Bay Resort, Minneapolis Marriott City Center, New York Marriott Marquis, and San Antonio Rivercenter Marriott. Chef Ortiz also acted as a culinary consultant for the Tiger Woods' Bluejack Golf Course openings in Conroe, TX and Jack's Bay in the Bahamas.
