A seasoned and respected leader in the luxury hospitality arena, the designation comes at a momentous time for the resorts. This December, the two newly debuted resorts will open with Mr. Rivera at the helm offering a myriad of programming, services and amenities, all designed to accommodate the distinct needs of todays traveler.
With over 15 years of experience at MHI and the luxury hospitality industry, Mr. Rivera brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Meli Punta Cana Beach Resort and Meli Caribe Beach Resort. Mr. Rivera comes to the properties from Paradisus Cancun, where he served as the General Manager. Under his leadership, the resort saw immense success, increased sales and profitability while ensuring an unforgettable guest experience. With two post-graduate degrees in hospitality management and strategic leadership from Cornell University, Mr. Rivera has achieved major accomplishments at previous locations in his portfolio including Paradisus Los Cabos, Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla y La Esmeralda, among others.

17 May 2019 — Spanish-born Manuel Ferriol is spearheading the opening of the 17-hectare beachfront property at Ho Tram, a two-hour drive from Vietnam's biggest metropolis Ho Chi Minh City.
Ferriol has worked for Meliá Hotels and Resorts for the past 15 years, steadily rising through the ranks before becoming an acting resident manager at Gran Meliá Fenix in Madrid, a Leading Hotel of the World, and resident manager at TRYP Palma Bellver By Melia in Mallorca.
16 April 2019 — Meliá Hotels International, Spain's leading hotel company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lati Naimi as General Manager of Meliá Lima. The hotel is currently undergoing a one-million-dollar renovation under the supervision of the ASAH study of the Spanish Architect Álvaro Sanz and plans to unveil in 2020 with a more functional and modern design that embraces elegance and the quality of the brand.
