Appointed MICE Global Account Director

Eric EdmundsNobu Hotels, a global hospitality brand founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, is delighted to announce the appointment of Eric Edmunds as its first MICE Global Account Director. On track for 20 hotels globally by 2020 - including the opening of Barcelona, Chicago and Los Cabos next year - Eric will generate group business specifically for Nobu Hotel Barcelona, due to open in Summer 2019, as well as London, Malibu Ryokan and Palo Alto. He will work alongside the property sales teams and their respective representation companies, Leading Hotels of the World and Design Hotels. With a career in the MICE industry spanning more than a decade, Eric will oversee the implementation of Nobu Hotels' core philosophy into events and meeting experiences. Edmunds said, 'I am delighted to join Nobu Hotels at such an exciting time, as global expansion continues. I'm very much looking forward to overseeing the synergy of exceptional service, innovative cuisine and contemporary creativity into MICE initiatives, whether it be a small private dinner, or corporate conference.' The first Nobu Hotel opened in 2013 in Caesars Palace Las Vegas, and has since expanded to include: Nobu Hotel City of Dreams Manila, Nobu Hotel Miami Beach, Nobu Ryokan Malibu, Nobu Hotel Shoreditch London, Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, Nobu Hotel Marbella and Nobu Hotel Palo Alto. Openings anticipated for 2019 include Los Cabos, Barcelona and Chicago.

Gigi Vega - Regional Director and General Manager

10 January 2017 — Nobu Hotel Shoreditch, Nobu’s first European hotel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gigi Vega as Regional Director and General Manager. Gigi Vega will oversee all of the operations at the new 150-room hotel, opening in spring 2017, including the 240-seat restaurant and a forthcoming rooftop bar.

Timothy Magee - Director of Finance

2 August 2016 — From Brisbane, Australia, Timothy Magee has 30 years experience in the hospitality sector. Magee started his career in hospitality managing RSL Entertainment businesses in Queensland before joining the Accor Group in 2006, where he held positions in Tasmania and then Victoria at the Sofitel Werribee resort before joining the Lancemore Hotel as group financial controller.
