Kamarl John

Four Seasons Hotel Singapore announces the appointment of Kamarl John as Restaurant Chef at the new One-Ninety.

Hailing from London, England, Kamarl has amassed more than a decade of fine culinary experience including stints at a wide variety of top restaurants and hotels in the United Kingdom including The Dorchester Collection, Claridge's, and Sketch by Michelin three-star celebrity Chef Pierre Gainer.

He joined the Four Seasons family in 2016 as Sous Chef with the opening team for Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square where he was instrumental in the Hotel's successful opening. Always keen to discover new flavours and experiences, Kamarl decided to jet across the globe to Singapore in late 2017, where he helmed Adrift by celebrity Chef David Myers at Marina Bay Sands as executive sous chef. No stranger to Asia and its plethora of herbs, flavours and spices, Kamarl enjoys the constant discovery of augmenting classic favourites with Asian techniques and ingredients.

With an innate passion for food cultivated from an early age in his grandmother's kitchen, Kamarl grew up intrigued with constant cooking and the creation of new dishes. His fond memories of helping his grandmother has continued to fan aflame his love for culinary.

Kamarl is excited to introduce his brand of culinary craftsmanship to Singapore's avid diners amid the garden fresh ambience that is authentic and imaginative all at once.

In his free time, Kamarl enjoys going on runs, taking in the sights, smells, sounds and flavours that abound in the multi-cultural Garden City.
