Dari DeSousa named Director of Human Resources at R.A. Rauch & Associates, Inc.
RAR Hospitality, San Diego-based hotel management company, is proud to announce the addition of Dari DeSousa, as the director of human resources to its executive team
Dari DeSousa brings years of hospitality human resources experience to RAR Hospitality. Prior to RAR, she worked for Marriott International, Starwood Hotels and Interstate Hotels in San Diego where she has created and implemented impactful leadership development and employee engagement programs improving the work environment for multiple hotels across Southern California. She has extensive experience in labor relations and California compliance and she is a specialist in large-scope project work. She has a strong passion for supporting teams to create amazing things.
In 2009 and 2016, she received Marriott's Excellence in HR Leadership award, which recognizes top human resource talent for innovative work; and in 2007, Marriott's Spirit to Serve award for her significant amount of community service. DeSousa is actively involved with Rady Children's Hospital and served on board and committee appointments focused on fundraising for Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. She was recognized by CMN Hospitals in December 2018 as a Miracle Maker for her contributions and commitment to the children. DeSousa is the current Vice President for the San Diego Hospitality Human Resources Association where she has been an active board member since 2007. She is also the Certificate in Human Resources Program Advisor for SDSU College of Extended Studies and is a classroom instructor for multiple courses.
