Keith Motsi

Four Seasons Hotel Seoul announces the appointment of Keith Motsi as the new Head Bartender at the speakeasy bar Charles H. starting in April 2019. Keith will oversee all bar operations and the cocktail program at the Hotel following in the footsteps of his predecessor Lorenzo Antinori, who has successfully positioned Charles H. as the #1 Bar in Korea ranking at #64 on the World's Best Bars 2018 list.

Born in Harare, Zimbabwe and raised in the United Kingdom, Keith has travelled around the world as a bartender gaining a wealth of international experience working in many different locations around the world. In 2007, Keith began his career as a bartender at Jakes Bar & Grill in Leeds, a high-volume cocktail bar with a fast-paced environment. Three years later he worked his way up to become the bar manager of SKIPPY'S Cocktail Bar, part of Arc Inspirations, a renowned bar company in the north of England where Keith oversaw staff hiring and training as well as developed the bar's strategies and concepts while staying on top of industry trends. Moving to London in 2014, Keith served as the head bartender at the highly renowned members club SOHOHOUSE & CO, where he oversaw a team of more than 30 bar staff, hiring of new employees and training, cocktail development and two different seasonal menu changes.

Before moving to Seoul, Keith was the Head Bartender at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing where he helped with the opening of EQUIS, a glamorous social lounge at the Hotel comprising of five different outlets. During this time, Keith has achieved great accolades including the 2017 Bar of the Year as well as 2018 DRINKS Magazine China Hotel Bar of the Year.

During his free time, Keith likes to stay active from playing sports such as rugby, football and badminton to travelling and learning about different cultures and customs around the world. Keith strongly believes this has helped him develop the crucial social skills required to deal with people from all different walks of life.
