Heriberto “Beto” Peña

Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo has appointed Heriberto "Beto" Peña as Health and Wellness Ambassador of the newly re-imagined spa and wellness centre at the luxury resort located on the 1,400-acre (565 hectare) Peninsula Papagayo on the north Pacific coast of Costa Rica. As Health and Wellness Ambassador, Peña will guide the Resort's fitness programming and wellness initiatives including Breathing and Sound Healing Work Shop, Yoga and longevity lifestyle retreats, High Intensities indoor and outdoor training, and develop a line of local Ayurveda-inspired spa products with Costa Rican organic and wild-crafted resources.

Peña's career as the dedicated yoga instructor at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica spans nearly 10 years during which time he travelled to India and Thailand to study Eastern medicine and philosophy. In India, Peña trained to become an Ayurveda Health Consultant at Anjali Ayurvedic & Panchakarma Institute. With more than 15 years as a yoga practitioner, Peña finds joy in helping people seek healthier lifestyles. Discovering his passion for health and wellness early on, Peña appreciated the rich natural resources of his home city of Quepos, Costa Rica. After discovering Peninsula Papagayo during a visit to study the Chorotega culture of native Guanacastans, Peña made it his new home. In his spare time, Peña enjoys spending time at the beach, reading and making delicious and creative vegetarian meals.
