Juan Webster

Webster joins Pendry Hotels & Resorts from Kimpton Hotels & Resorts, where he served as general manager of the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor. Prior to this, Webster led the team as general manager of Radisson Baltimore Downtown-Inner Harbor, the second transition in four years converting back to a global brand in the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. Before this, Webster was the general manager of Baltimore Harbor Hotel, during which he led the transition of the Sheraton Baltimore City Center into a full-service independent boutique hotel product. He has also served in several leadership roles for Interstate Hotels & Resorts, including general manager, director of operations, director of rooms and revenue management including his time at Hilton Durham at Duke University. Notably, Webster was on the opening team of the Umstead Hotel and Spa, one of North Carolina's first Five Star and Five Diamond properties.

Webster plays an integral role in the Baltimore community, where he sits on the current board of directors for Visit Baltimore, Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, Kennedy Krieger Institute's PACT Foundation and Suited to Succeed Baltimore. He has worked with many local and national committees through Baltimore by serving, laboring and mentoring including the International Rescue Committee, National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, i5 City, Baltimore City Public Schools, St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore, Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Choo Smith Foundation, The Movement Team and The LACC Foundation.

Webster graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Sociology and continued his studies at North Carolina Central University in the Hospitality and Tourism Department. More recently, after delivering the Keynote address at commencement, he was presented with the Doctor of Arts Honoris Causa from Stratford University in Hospitality Management.
