Onyx Hospitality Group has appointed Joseph Karam as general manager of Amari Watergate Bangkok. The hospitality veteran rejoins the property, where he was previously the hotel manager from 2015 to 2017.
In total, Karam holds over two decades of experience, having honed his skills at hotels and resorts across Thailand and the Middle East. Prior to rejoining Amari, Karam held a managerial role at the InterContinental Hotel & Crowne Plaza Dubai.

Jan succeeds Russell Cool who departs following more than two years of leadership, and will oversee the company's three hotels in Sri Lanka - Amari Galle, OZO Colombo and OZO Kandy.
8 May 2019 — ONYX Hospitality Group has appointed Paul Halford as General Manager of the soon-to-open OZO Phuket at Kata Beach.
Paul joins ONYX with close to 20 years of hospitality industry experience at hotels and resorts in Australia, Vanuatu, Fiji and Thailand, including a 10-year tenure across multiple Radisson Hotel Group locations.
