Angella Tyson

Grace Bay Resorts is pleased to announce that Angella Tyson has been promoted to Director of Reservations for the Turks & Caicos-based luxury hotel brand. Tyson has been with the brand for nearly 14 years, working closely with clientele and harboring relationships with loyal guests to ensure every guest experiences Grace Bay Resort's handmade service. Tyson has over 25 years of managerial experience in the tourism industry and will continue to excel and contribute to the development of this delicate industry through her new role.

Tyson's appointment falls in line with Grace Bay Resorts' continued commitment to support the growth of female leadership in the hospitality industry. In her role, Tyson will manage a highly effective Reservations Department dedicated to assisting guests with property inquiries and bookings as well as converting sales opportunities that contribute to profitability. She will work with the Sales and Marketing team to develop strategic sales plans and monitor revenue variance to build an approach to maximize revenue. She will continue to oversee the implementation of various training program which has helped the brand excel in Leading Hotels of the World Standards.

Tyson's experience in the hotel industry began in 1993 when she worked with a boutique luxury hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica, quickly moving through the ranks to become the Resort Manager. After eight years, she moved on to gain additional experience and exposure at Wyndham Resort, in Rose Hall, Montego Bay for an additional two years acting as the Front Office Manager. In 2005, Tyson's desire to excel took her to the Turks and Caicos Islands where she was hired as a Reservations Agent for Grace Bay Resorts. In the 14 years since arriving at Grace Bay Resorts, Tyson has increased revenue and conversion ratio and consistently exceeded revenue goals through yielding and effective sales strategies. She has guided several employees through the company ranks to receive promotions and additional opportunities for advancement.

Tyson has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and an Honors Degree from the Institute of Management Sciences, Montego Bay in Management Information systems.
