David Ecija

David Ecija has been appointed general manager of Hilton West Palm Beach, an AAA Four-Diamond hotel located in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach and connected to Palm Beach County Convention Center. Ecija joins the team from the 503-room Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi, in Brazil after successfully completing a full renovation plan of the lobby, two dining outlets, swimming pool, health club and guestrooms. During his tenure at the hotel he was also award 2018 Hilton General Manager of the Year, Americas Region.

In his new capacity, he will oversee operations for the award-winning 400-room hotel that features an array of outstanding amenities including four dining outlets, an oversized pool deck and a curated art program that embodies the artistic energy of South Florida.

With 20 years of global hospitality experience, 15 of which have been with Hilton in Europe, Asia, Latin American and now US, Ecija has worked in six countries on three continents. An inspiring leader, Ecija mentored nine talented professionals to become general managers with Hilton across Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and the Caribbean. Previously, he acted as cluster general manager of Hilton Sukhumvit and DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit. Prior to successfully managing these two hotels in a dynamic economic environment, he served in a number of general manager and operations management positions with Hilton throughout Europe, including general manager roles at Hilton Vilamoura Golf & Spa Resort and Hilton Madrid Airport, among others.

Ecija holds a Hotel Management Degree from Polytechnic University in Madrid, Spain and speaks four languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
