Well acquainted with the Rotana brand, Sapre joined the company in 2013 as the food and beverage director of Park Rotana.
Hailing from the UK, he has an HND and Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality and Business Management, alongside a Diploma in Hospitality Management and Catering Operations. He additionally attended the Oxford Summer School in Business Management, Keble College, University of Oxford.
Sapre has over 16 years of experience collected from luxury, lifestyle and time-share brands, with an expertise in pre-opening.
11 February 2020 — He will oversee the 242-key Arjaan Dubai Media City, along with the 243-key Centro Barsha.
Ilgaz brings more than 35 years of experience to the role. Previously GM at The Cove Rotana Resort, Al Ghurair Rayhaan and Arjaan by Rotana, Ilgaz has also overseen the pre-opening of Amwaj Rotana in JBR and the renovation of Jumeirah Rotana in Dubai.
17 January 2020 — Rosso, the Italian restaurant at Amwaj Rotana, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai, has appointed Salvatore Barcellona as its new speciality chef.
The Sicilian has worked in the Middle East since 2011, previously heading up the Italian restaurant in Radisson Blu Yas Island, Abu Dhabi before moving to Media Rotana in Dubai where he held the position of speciality chef at Prego's.
