Maria Tsiomou

A passionate marketer, professional and true brand ambassador, Tsiomou has 16 years of valuable hospitality experience, having worked with the likes of Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Throughout her career, she has managed a number of key launches and partnerships for The Luxury Collection and St. Regis Hotels.

Tsiomou most recently led the successful opening of the first St. Regis Hotel in Jordan, The St. Regis Amman, engaging the local market and supporting its awareness.

During her time in Jordan, she also managed the opening marketing activities of Al Manara Hotel, positioning it in the Golden triangle destination of Aqaba - Petra - Wadi Rum.

During her experience in the corporate office as the brand specialist for Sheraton, Westin and Special Select Brands in EAME, as well as being the brand manager of The Luxury Collection Hotels and The St. Regis Hotels, she rolled out three new brand identities and played an instrumental role in executing the global brand plans. One of her achievement was to support the global partnership of The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts with Beautiful Destinations in EAME for 18 hotels in seven different destinations, increasing the property followers by 233 per cent.

Tsiomou began her hospitality journey in Greece at the flagship Hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens, where she held the position of front desk agent and was later promoted to marketing coordinator. She then assisted with the opening of the Costa Navarino Complex for The Romanos Hotel and The Westin Costa Navarino as a marketing manager.

As the director of marketing of The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, she will oversee the hotel's brand, marketing and communication strategy. She will work hand-in-hand with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture & Tourism, exploring opportunities to support the destination. One of her main responsibilities will also be to identify and work with key partners to further enhance the positioning of The St. Regis Abu Dhabi.
