Odin Rocha

Montage Los Cabos, an idyllic luxury resort on the shores of Santa Maria Bay has named Odin Rocha as chef de cuisine. In this role, Chef Rocha will lead the culinary efforts at the resort's signature restaurant, Mezcal, a modern Mexican kitchen where guests embark on a gastronomic journey through a menu that is creative, fresh and authentic in a lively and sophisticated setting that pays homage to Mexico's history. The restaurant features reimagined interpretations of ancestral culinary traditions, serving breakfast and dinner.

With nearly a decade of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries, Rocha's impressive career includes culinary posts at highly regarded resorts and restaurants throughout Mexico. At Montage Los Cabos, Rocha will work alongside Executive Chef Xavier Salomon, who oversees all food and beverage programming across the resort including in-room dining, culinary partnerships and kitchen operations. Rocha will be charged with menu conceptualization at the signature restaurant, Mezcal.

A passionate young chef, Rocha most recently served as chef de cuisine at 1826, the fine dining restaurant at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende. Prior to that, he has held posts at AAA Five Diamond restaurant Brasserie Lipp, a traditional French restaurant in Mexico City and Trattoria Don Corleone. Odin holds a degree in gastronomy from the Inter University Center for Advanced Studies in Mexico City.

Montage Los Cabos features two restaurant concepts; Mezcal, a modern kitchen featuring reimagined interpretations of Mexican culinary traditions and Marea, a beachfront gathering place offering Baja inspired cuisine with panoramic views of Santa Maria Bay.
