These art projects served as the springboard to Cohen-Berman's enrollment in ceramic classes at Broward College and Florida Atlantic University, where designing and creating sculptures as well as functional ware out of clay quickly became her passion. Cohen-Berman has also been commissioned for numerous public art projects and was honored with a three-dimensional art award from Broward College for her piece titled "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend."In addition to working as a ceramics instructor for Guild Florida, Cohen-Berman currently serves as the ceramic artist, curator, and manager of History Fort Lauderdale's New River Artist Cooperative Artist in Residence Program. The program was created by Cohen-Berman in 2018 and is located on the third floor of the New River Inn, a former hotel which now houses the main museum of local history.
