Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights has appointed Emma HasanVand as its director of sales and marketing.
Prior to her post at the hotel, HasanVand was director of sales, groups & events at Kempinski Hotel Mall of The Emirates. She has also held MICE-related positions at Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa and Mercure Hotels.
Holding more than 11 years of experience, she has expertise in hotel operations, the MICE industry, events and building a strong market presence.
She will be expected to apply her skills in account management, partnership agreements and introducing initiatives to help the hotel.

18 February 2020 — For the past five years Haigh was Global Communications Director for Pernod Ricard's Winemaking division and their portfolio of champagnes, spirits and wines in Australia and New Zealand.
Between 2008 and 2013 Haigh was Head of Communications for Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants in the UK, and prior to that drove creative communications, strategic brand partnerships and external affairs for AB InBev, Coca-Cola and Oakley.
17 February 2020 — Verve Bar & Brasserie has brought in Torman Hamouda as its head chef.
In his role, the Jordanian will oversee all oversee the restaurant while building relationships with local suppliers, develop menus which promote sustainability and coach and train junior members of his team.
