Russell Duckworth

Kew Green Hotels, one of the leading international hotel management companies with over 55 hotels in its portfolio, has appointed Russell Duckworth as Finance Director to support the group's continued domestic and international growth strategy and to provide further expertise to hotels and partners.

This senior leadership appointment comes after the recent announcement that Kew Green Hotels is expanding into the South East Asia market, launching seven properties, four under the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts brand umbrella in Bangkok, Thailand, commencing from quarter one 2021, in a joint venture with Siamese Asset. Alongside the launch of these seven properties, Kew Green Hotels will also be launching a Commercial Hub for South East Asia to support the region, based in Bangkok.

Russell Duckworth joined Kew Green in March 2020. Classically trained with Price Waterhouse Coopers, Russell's interest in hospitality started when assigned to the Southern Sun Hotel Group as an external auditor. His career has spanned a period of 25 years, holding a variety of positions around the world from South Africa, British Virgin Islands to the UK, working with a number of medium to large corporate companies including Le Meridien, Malmaison & Hotel Du Vin, Rocco Forte and Virgin Limited Edition. Russell's experience is evident in the positions held during this time, which included self-accounting entities, corporate finance and group operational finance roles. Results orientated and commercially astute, Russell brings a strong desire to standardise and enhance reporting to deliver efficient and future proofed solutions across the group through technology and people.
