Parool Shah

Marriott International is pleased to announce the appointment of Parool Shah as Vice President of Global Brand PR. A seasoned brand communications and media relations executive, Shah has over 20 years of experience, and her appointment marks her return to Marriott International, having previously worked as Global Director of Public Relations, Americas for The Ritz-Carlton. In her role, Shah will lead media efforts for Marriott International's 30 diverse and vibrant hotel brands, including its prestigious luxury portfolio of the world's most desirable and coveted hotel brands: The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, EDITION, The Luxury Collection, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts and W Hotels Worldwide.

Through her work as a communications executive, Shah has developed innovative media and company strategies and successfully lead teams as a spokesperson for several renowned national and global brands. She has cultivated influential relationships and driven results across multiple industries with focused storytelling to create meaningful customer journeys, amplified messaging through media relations, and leadership of brand marketing and social media teams to achieve business objectives. Shah joins Marriott International from Canyon Ranch, where she served as the Vice President of Brand Communications. In her role, Shah was charged with leading communication efforts for the pioneering wellness resorts and crafted a business narrative that defined the repositioning of Canyon Ranch's evolution over the next 40 years. Prior to this, she served as the Senior Vice President of a boutique PR agency that represented clients such as Swire Hotels, several Four Seasons Resorts, Ponant cruises and more. Shah also worked as the Global Director of Public Relations for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. She began her career in Beverly Hills, serving as the Director of the Beverly Hills Visitors Center and the Director of Public Relations for Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills. Shah earned her B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill.
