Brice Péan

Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski is pleased to announce the appointment of Brice Péan as the new general manager as of 12 January 2021. A hotelier with a wealth of experience championing hotel preopenings and managing landmark properties, Péan has over 30 years of experience in the luxury hospitality field, including senior management roles with Hilton Hotels in Vienna, Cairo, Adelaide, Fiji and Shanghai.

Péan joined, in 1986, the Hotel Meridien, Paris Etoile, in the Front Office Department . Later, in 1991, he took over an assistant front office manager role at the iconic Hotel Plaza Athénée, Paris.

Péan's first general manager appointment was in 2007, at the Fiji Beach Resort & Spa, managed by Hilton Hotels. In 2010, he moved to Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao, being in charge of the preopening of the hotel. Péan joined Kempinski in 2012, as General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Qingdao.

Most recently, Péan was General Manager of Sunrise Kempinski Hotel Beijing and Yanqi Island from 2013, overseeing 14 properties, including Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, Yanqi Hotel and 12 boutique hotels, staying for five years, and later in 2018, he was Managing Director at the renowned Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Centre. Throughout the subsequent years, Péan gained exposure in various locations, such as Dublin, London, Vienna, Cairo and even the Fiji Islands, steadily growing through the ranks.

A native of France, Péan has a bachelor's degree from Fremdenverkehrskolleg Innsbruck University in Austria and speaks fluent English and German in addition to his mother tongue.

With his remarkable career in the hospitality industry, extensive knowledge and experience of luxury brands, the hotel's team is excitingly welcoming him in his new role at the Palace, ensuring commitment to service excellence and beautiful performances.
