Anthony Duggan

Anthony Duggan has been appointed Area Vice President of Miraval Group, which includes the three award-winning wellness resorts: Miraval Arizona, Miraval Austin and Miraval Berkshires. In his new role, Anthony will provide operational direction for the resorts, leading with creativity and care to ensure that the guest experience upholds Miraval's promise to inspire a life in balance and that guest comfort and wellbeing remains paramount.

As General Manager of Miraval Austin, a role that he'll continue as he assumes his new position, Anthony has personified Hyatt's guiding mission to care for people so they can be their best. When Miraval Austin temporarily paused operations at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Anthony spearheaded an initiative to donate the organic produce grown on its 10-acre Cypress Creek Farm to colleagues in the Austin area.

Once the property resumed operations, Anthony was responsible for continually reimagining its offerings to reflect new safety protocols and feedback from guests and colleagues to ensure that each guest could feel safe, inspired and restored while on property. For example, working hand-in-hand with Miraval's wellbeing specialists, he expanded the resort's outdoor offerings to allow guests to experience the therapeutic benefits of nature while also social distancing. He and the team also developed and re-worked programming to teach guests how to live with renewed purpose and mindfulness during difficult times.

Anthony will continue to innovate and be nimble as he oversees and supports operations at Miraval's three properties, using his innate sense of leadership and sincere commitment to the wellbeing of guests and colleagues to offer an experience consistent with Miraval's guiding principles of mindfulness and a life in balance.

Anthony frequently incorporates Miraval's mindfulness practice into his own life when exploring the nature around Texas Hill Country. He also treats the act of cooking healthy meals at home as a meditative experience that gives him balance and energy.

Before joining Miraval Austin, Anthony spent more than 25 years in hospitality, leading some of the most iconic resorts in the world, including Amangiri in Utah, L'Auberge de Sedona in Arizona, Fairmont Kea Lani in Hawaii and Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park.
